Cyanocorax cyanopogon (Wied-Neuwied, 1821), a bird endemic to Brazil, inhabits dry scrub and woodlands and the borders DR. Therefore, this new record shows the importance of surveys to fill gaps in biodiversity knowledge, especially in disturbed environments.
